My Little Hands

Image
Sitting at the Segestrom theater recently; my granddaughter sat on Papa's lap.  I captured this moment when she placed her hand on his hand...what might have she been thinking?

Animal Farm

In my elementary school days the readers we read had stories of grandparents who lived on the farm. I would imagine and wished I was visiting my grandparent's farm. My grandparents lived in the suburbs and never had any animals during my childhood.  Visits to a farm was taken during a school trip was rare.  While  raising our daughters we were fortunate to live close to the O.C. Fairgrounds where they had a little farm.  Well...we never had the opportunity to buy a farm.   The next best thing is a visit to a petting zoo called Zoomars.  Papa and I packed up a lunch, got the girls plastic farm animals and bought train tickets then headed off for the day to feed and pet the farm animals... If you are a farmless grandparent this is a must experience! Little Train Travelers warmest regards, Nana Mary
